On Tuesday 28th April, our Year 11 students took part in a charity football event held in support of a fellow student. The match was a resounding success, bringing together students, staff, and the wider school community in a truly uplifting way. With 40 students taking part on the pitch and over 250 spectators cheering from the sidelines, the atmosphere throughout the event was amazing.

There was a genuine feel-good factor from start to finish. Earlier in the day, students across the school embraced the occasion by wearing football shirts or red items to school, helping to raise money and awareness for the charity.

Most importantly, the day made a significant impact in support of Teenage Cancer Trust. The current total stands at an incredible £3,291, with additional contributions still to come in.

Donations can still be made via ParentPay until Tuesday 5th May 2026.

Mr Tizard, who refereed the match, said:

This  achievement reflects the generosity, compassion, and community spirit of everyone involved. The event not only raised vital funds but also created lasting memories, highlighting the power of coming together for a meaningful cause.
