Culture Day 2026
On Monday 19 October, our Senior Prefects organised a fantastic Culture Day to celebrate the diverse cultures represented within our school community. Building on an idea introduced by former students, the event aimed to showcase the richness of different backgrounds and promote respect, understanding and inclusion across the school.
Year 7 students enjoyed a range of cultural activities, including Bhangra dancing, henna art, African drumming and creative workshops. The whole school also took part in a non-uniform day, giving students and staff the opportunity to wear cultural clothing and proudly celebrate their heritage. Throughout the day, students could also sample a variety of international foods from countries including China, India and Mexico.
A particular highlight was the assembly, where several students confidently shared their experiences and spoke about their cultures, helping others gain a greater understanding of the diverse community we are proud to be part of.
The day was a tremendous success and reflected our commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and confident in expressing their identity.
A huge thank you to our Senior Prefects for their hard work in organising this fantastic event and for sharing their reflections on such a successful day.
