Art Club

Art Club is a weekly club open to Key Stage 3 pupils who have a passion for art and design. Each half term or term, we focus on a different project, where we explore a design brief, complete research about the project, before completing our design work. Art Club is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to explore new techniques, as well as get involved in competitions, both within and outside of school. Pupils of all abilities are welcome to come and explore new ways to create art and build their confidence. 

Chess Club

Chess Club takes place weekly for Key Stage 3 students. students can bring their lunch, grab a board and play a game of chess with the support of teachers.. Last year we had a House Chess tournament, and we are looking at expanding further this year.

Code club

Code Club is an opportunity to explore the digital world. Whether you like graphics and animation or programming in Scratch and Python or even if you want to invent the digital products of tomorrow, come along to Code Club to enjoy a variety of activities and competitions to inspire and excite your creativity. This is available for anyone in Years 7 - 11. 

Crochet Club 

Come along with your crochet equipment and examples of what you may have made. Beginners welcome too!

Debating Club

Debating Club is for our Sixth Form Students, they have the chance to discuss and debate issues facing the world and young people today in a structured fashion. This helps build confidence, public speaking, and critical thinking skills.

Drama Club 

Drama Club put on a fantastic musical performance each year. In 2024 they performed Oliver! in 2025, FAME and in 2026 Shrek! These are whole school musicals across all key stages. Many help with costume, set and lighting. The main parts are often double cast to give more pupils the chance to take the limelight! 

We encourage pupils to come to Drama Club on Wednesdays in Bader Hall. 

Dungeons and Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy tabletop adventure game run by a dungeon master. Players create and control unique characters who embark on a quest. How the story unfolds will depend on the imagination and decisions of the players. We currently run this club for years 7-9. Places are limited as each game has a maximum of 7 players plus a game master.

English Language Revision Club 

A revision workshop for A Level English Language students.

English Literature Revision Club

A revision workshop for A Level English Literature students.

English Support Club 

A support club for Year 10 GCSE English students.

Film Club 

For our 'most able' students, we watch and review a wide range of films.

Homework Club

The club is open to any student that would like to complete homework, use the computer or get some support with tasks. It is a drop in club. It is not a requirement to attend every day or a certain day per week and students are free to leave when they have finished.

Letters and Ladders Club

Letters & Ladders is a fun, welcoming board-games club open to all year 7 students every Friday at lunchime in room 10. The club uses a range of word-based and strategy board games to help develop literacy skills, including vocabulary, spelling, reading, and communication — all while having fun with friends. Library Club

Book themed activities, crafts, quizzes and helping create library displays.

Model Engineering Club

Learn practical engineering skills on a small scale as well as theory that is essential for all aspects of engineering.

Reading Club

Explore different stories and read together, for Year 7 and 8 students. 

Sixth Form Literature Society

Looking at Nobel and Booker Prize winning novelist Kazue Ishiguro, beginning with Never Let Me Go.

Textiles Club

If you have an interest in creating Christmas decorations, Textiles Club is for you. We are also experimenting with felting so come along bring your lunch and a friend. All years welcome. 

Warhammer Club

We work our way through the battle honours booklet, all the kids are provided with 4 models, paints, building tools and we simply build and paint the models and work towards running a few games with them. Students are welcome to bring in their own models in to complete and paint. Pupils are welcome to get the stamps in their battle honours pack stamped at their local Warhammer store, where they can collect rewards (badges, paint brushes, dice etc). Warhammer runs after school on Tuesdays for Years 7-9. 

Warhammer Alliance 

Youth Alpha

Youth alpha is a series of free, short group sessions designed to explore the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed, friendly, and informal environment. It is open to everyone, regardless of your background or beliefs, and includes free snacks within each session and interactive videos on topics such as ‘who Jesus is’ and ‘what real love looks like’.
