Pastoral Support Assistant

We are looking for a proactive Pastoral Support Assistant with strong communication skills to provide day-to-day support for our students. Working alongside Achievement Leaders, and the Inclusion Manager you will promote positive learning attitudes and inclusion; liaise with parents and staff; and carry out a range of duties to support our students’ social, emotional and academic needs. The role will be linked to key year groups but there will be opportunities to work with students across the school. (Please see attached information).
This enhanced role is available to candidates with direct, recent experience of working with young people in an education setting. It is an additional role to further enhance the capacity of our team. Working hours will be 8.30am-4.30pm (4pm on a Friday) with a 30-minute lunch break.

King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Physical Education to join a dynamic, high-performing department. This role is being advertised as part-time but a full-time appointment will be considered for a suitable candidate. For a full-time position, the ability to offer a second subject would be desirable. This post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.
The benefits of Physical Education and School Sport are well recognised at King Edward VI School. PE is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. All Key Stage 3 & 4 students access two hours of core PE each week, with an extensive offer for extra-curricular sport which many of our students regularly attend in addition to their lessons. The extra-curricular offer extends to include students in sixth form, with opportunity to lead teams in a range of sports from Y7-13. In Key Stage 4 and 5, students can opt to take examination subjects in PE including GCSE PE, A-Level PE and BTEC Sport. These option subjects have a good uptake and have consistently achieved strong results.
We are looking for a creative and adaptable teacher with a commitment to extra-curricular activities. There is opportunity for the appointed teacher to teach examination PE at key stage four and/or five. A specialism in rugby, football, and/or cricket would be beneficial, particularly for extra-curricular activities. Excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents are essential.

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join our dedicated support staff team. This role will have a particular focus on student attendance and data management.
The position is part-time (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–12:00 noon), term time only. The successful candidate will work closely with our Attendance Officer and Pupil Premium Lead, playing a key role in ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting student outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and processing student attendance, including recording and following up absences
- Administration of follow up communication/letters regarding attendance
- Supporting the administration of Pupil Premium funding and related processes
- Liaising effectively with staff across the school
- Assisting with wider administrative tasks, such as collating student praise data
- Maintaining accurate and well-organised records
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to their work
- Is proactive, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Communicates confidently and professionally with colleagues
- Can work both independently and as part of a team
- Is committed to supporting the smooth running of the school
This role would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, IT skills and be highly efficient and organised. They will be able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with external organisations, staff, students and parents. A calm, flexible approach and highly accurate written communication are essential.
Lunchtime Supervisors

We are seeking to appoint reliable, flexible Lunchtime Supervisors to work within a friendly, supportive and well established team. Duties to include supervising students during lunchtimes in the dining areas and surrounding school grounds both inside and out. Applicants should be able to relate well to children, young adults and staff, act responsibly and be able to keep calm and respond quickly to situations.
