On 14th August 2025, King Edward VI School sixth form, shared the impressive achievements of its 190 students receiving A level, BTEC, and Cambridge National results.

We are proud to celebrate the hard work and success of this year’s cohort across a wide range of subjects. For those students who collected their results in person, it was a moment of excitement and reflection for both students and staff.

Results

The results showcase our commitment to helping every student reach their potential, with excellent outcomes across 24 different subjects.

Notably, 15 students achieved top grades of A and A* in three or more subjects, demonstrating exceptional academic ability and dedication. The diverse range of courses studied reflects the broad curriculum we offer, preparing students for a variety of future pathways.

The future

Students are progressing to a variety of opportunities, including apprenticeships, gap years, and university courses at institutions ranging from Plymouth to Northumbria, as well as universities such as Oxford, Birmingham, Derby and Aston Universities. The courses students will be pursuing include specialist fields like Events Management, Motorsport Engineering, and Fine Art, highlighting our comprehensive intake and tailored support.

Catharine Forster, Headteacher, said:

To see students receiving their results and taking their next steps is a privilege and we are looking forward to hearing about students' adventures when they return for Presentation Evening in the autumn term. I would also like to express my gratitude to the staff, students, and families for their dedication and hard work, these results are a testament to their collective effort.
