School Building Fund Appeal – May update

Thank you for your generous support of the school. We have reached 10% of our target of raising £100,000 by 2018. We have started planning work for the summer and will give regular updates on how the funds have been used so far.

We have identified three categories of priorities:

  • Structural maintenance: roofs, guttering, fencing, corridor flooring, tarmac etc.
  • The school environment: classroom and corridor decoration, classroom furniture, carpets, blinds, noticeboards & displays to celebrate student achievement and share information
  • Improvement projects: toilets, science laboratories, ICT resources, student social spacesWe will seek to make headway in all three areas and we will start to see the difference in the next few weeks. New blinds in classrooms make all the difference (especially when it’s sunny) and our new noticeboards which will be arriving shortly will keep students informed about the wide range of support on offer to them. This is as a result of direct feedback from our students.

I would also like to thank parents who have come forward to share their ideas or expertise. If you have a particular skill, a trade or advice about sponsorship sources then please get in touch via office@kingedwardvi-lichfield.staffs.sch.uk
