Our Headteacher is retiring in the summer of 2024 after ten years guiding and developing our school to its current position of strength and success. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Headteacher to take over from her.  The successful candidate will have an excellent track record as a highly effective practitioner and leader, demonstrating the strategic leadership and operational skills needed to support all staff in providing an inclusive education for all of our students.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Drama to lead our Drama department at King Edward VI School. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled, committed and enthusiastic practitioner who will teach and lead Drama at Key Stages 3, 4 & 5. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a strong team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life including support for extra-curricular clubs, festivals and performances.

Drama is highly successful at our school with all students having weekly Drama lessons throughout Key Stage 3. BTEC Performing Arts at Key Stage 4 is popular with our students; we have a strong track record of success at Key Stage 4 and post-16.  We are looking for a leader with the ability to lead and inspire staff and students; a pro-active inclusive approach and excellent communication skills are essential. LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

We are seeking a positive, proactive Learning Support Assistant to provide support for our students. This is a permanent, term-time only post (30 hours per week, Monday to Friday currently from 8.45am-3.30pm with 45 minutes for lunch) available immediately through the school’s highly successful Learning Support Department. The role will involve supporting students in classrooms and at times working with individuals or small groups in our Learning Support hub. Part-time applications from suitable candidates will be considered although a commitment to the full working school day is essential.

We are seeking to appoint reliable, flexible Lunchtime Supervisors to work within a friendly, supportive and well established team. Duties to include supervising students during lunchtimes in the dining areas and surrounding school grounds both inside and out. Applicants should be able to relate well to children, young adults and staff, act responsibly and be able to keep calm and respond quickly to situations.
