King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Mathematics teacher to join an exceptional department. With 89% of grades at 9-4, 79% of grades at 9-5 and 35% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE Mathematics in 2018, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for a Newly Qualified Teacher.

Mathematics is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. The appointed teacher will also have the opportunity over time to teach A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics in addition to GCSE Mathematics. We have also recently introduced Level 3 Core Maths in the Sixth Form to encourage further development of students’ mathematical skills.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.

Due to some temporary staffing changes we are seeking a part-time teacher who has recent experience of teaching A-level Sociology, ideally following the revised AQA specification. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic teacher who will support Year 12 students in the first year of their A Level course. This would be a temporary appointment until at least the end of May 2019. You will be working alongside an experienced Sociology teacher who teaches across Year 12 & 13 and supported by the Head of Social Science; the subject is well-resourced and popular with our students. For a suitable candidate, between 2 and 3 half-days per week would be available. Early applications before a final closing date are welcome as we are seeking an immediate start.

We are seeking to appoint reliable, flexible Lunch Time Supervisors to work within a friendly, supportive and well established team. Duties to include supervising students during lunchtimes in the dining areas and surrounding school grounds both inside and out. Applicants should be able to relate well to children, young adults and staff, act responsibly and be able to keep calm and respond quickly to situations.

The Salary Scale is the Local Authority’s Grade 5 £16.495 – £16,863 pro rata.
