Teacher of Physical Education – Required for January 2018

King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Physical Education Teacher to join a high-performing collaborative department. All Key Stage 3 & 4 students access at least two hours of PE each week in addition to high levels of participation in the wide range of extra-curricular sports. This appointment is temporary during a period of staffing transition. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will join the department until July 2018.
PE is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. We are looking for a creative and adaptable teacher with a commitment to extra-curricular activities. The appointed teacher will teach girls’ core PE and ideally GCSE PE although the capacity to teach A-level and/or BTEC Sport would be welcomed. A specialism in netball would be particularly useful alongside an interest in hockey. Excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents are essential.

Lunchtime Supervisor – Grade 2
This is a permanent post working a maximum of 6.25 hours per week, term time only, within a supportive and well established team. The salary scale is the Local Authority’s Grade 2 (£15115-£15613) – pro rata. Actual starting salary will be in the region of £7.83- £8.09 per hour. We are seeking to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
