We require an Administration Assistant to join our support staff team with a particular focus on coordinating Work Experience and providing administrative support for the curriculum. The role will also include regular support for Reprographics for a half-day per week and the capacity to provide increased coverage during the normal working week when needed. This post will link closely to the Deputy Headteacher, with administration and organisational support for PSHE and Curriculum Enhancement as a central part of the role. This role involves liaison with colleagues across the school and would suit someone who thrives on a proactive approach.

The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, IT skills and be highly efficient and organised. They will be able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with external agencies, employers, staff, students and parents. A calm, flexible approach and highly accurate written communication are essential.

Personal Assistant to the Headteacher

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and highly capable Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Headteacher. The role requires a highly competent administrator with an eye for detail who is also able to work at a fast pace with competing time demands and deadlines. The successful candidate will be adaptable, flexible and resilient with a clear capacity to maintain confidentiality.

This is a key role in our growing, successful school. You will also liaise closely with the Business Manager, other members of the senior team and act as the first point of contact for many potential new or current staff, parents and members of the school community. This role is also the school contact point for Data Protection queries, liaising with our external Data Protection Officer when necessary.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure that you are able to relate to people at all levels and react calmly in challenging situations. A positive, professional and can-do attitude is essential, as is a sense of humour. The role links to a highly capable team across the school but requires the post holder to work independently and autonomously when necessary. Excellent IT skills and accurate written communication are essential.

King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Science teacher; a specialism in Physics would be an advantage but is not essential. In 2018, 86% of Year 11 students achieved at least two GCSE science grades at 9-4 and over half of the cohort took the Triple Science course. Across Triple Science, over a third of students achieve grades 9-7; you will be joining a high-performing department with a passion for their subject.

As a teacher, you will teach Science across the age and ability range and specialise at Key Stage 4 and 5. Science is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. We have a strong uptake for A-level, with at least two groups for all three sciences in both Year 12 and 13.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills alongside the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life. King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking to appoint a motivated, organised and committed Catering Assistant with good communication skills to join our friendly, experienced team. You should possess good cooking skills, excellent customer service and ability to work as part of an integrated team.

Duties to include general food preparation, counter service, general kitchen and dining room duties e.g. washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment.

Working hours are 20 – 25 hours per week from 9.00am – 2.00pm, term time only although there is scope to work additional hours at school events.

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Sports Centre Duty Officer/Caretaker position for the Sports Centre building at the school. We are ideally looking for someone interested in working flexibly for approximately 25 – 30 hours per week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated individual who will be responsible for providing on-site support at the sports centre under the direction of Senior Staff at the school. We need to cover a 6-day working week between 2 people from approximately 4:30pm – 10:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:45am – 4:45pm on Saturday throughout the year. We have one person in post and are looking for a second post holder to share the working week.

You will provide supervision and security for the community use of the school. Duties to include: opening and locking of the buildings for community activities as directed, which are generally evenings and Saturdays; provide on-site security; help with the setting up and clearing away of equipment, ensure that correct procedures are adopted in the event of an emergency; general maintenance, undertaking any site cleaning and housekeeping duties of the building. There may also be occasions when you would be assisting with work around other school buildings.

The salary scale is the Local Authority’s Grade 4, £17,391 – £18,319 per annum (£9.01 to £9.50 per hour) and would be pro rata to the number of hours worked. The details of which would be discussed at interview.
