Teacher of History

Full time / Permanent / MPR-UPR

Required for September 2017

King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking a well-qualified, imaginative History teacher with a high level of subject knowledge and a real passion for their subject. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a strong team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life including educational visits. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for a Newly Qualified Teacher. This is a full-time role but flexibility for a part-time role for the coming year would be considered.

History is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. There is an excellent track record of success for examination courses and a high take-up for a wide range of additional extra-curricular opportunities and visits.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. The appointed teacher will be expected to teach across the age and ability range over time, including GCSE and A-Level courses.

Closing date: Thursday 8 June 2017 – 12 noon.

Lunchtime Supervisor – Grade 2

Required immediately

This is a permanent post working a maximum of 6.25 hours per week, term time only, within a supportive and well established team.  The salary scale is the Local Authority’s Grade 2 (£15115-£15613) – pro rata.  Actual starting salary will be in the region of £7.83- £8.09 per hour.  We are seeking to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
