525th Birthday Celebrations

525 birthday 3 no link

This academic year the school is celebrating its 525th birthday and to mark the occasion, there are events throughout the year. Last term tutor groups did a quiz about the People & Places of the school and the 525th pupil on roll on 3rd November (the actual birthday) got a surprise present. 2021 started with a writing competition to write a short story or poem of up to 525 words which had to include the school’s birthday somewhere.

The challenge to take us through into next term is a Maths one! The link to the puzzles has been sent out via Show My Homework and the deadline is Wednesday 21st April so there is plenty of time over Easter to have a go. Prizes will be awarded for speed and accuracy, plus there is a mystery prize rewarding perseverance… As this is open to all year groups, the best in each year group will also get a prize. Good luck to everyone!
