Your School’s Lottery

The PTA are excited to announce the launch of a new funding raising initiative! We’re launching a Lottery in partnership with Your School Lottery to raise funds for projects that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. The first project will be to raise £8,000 for a new PA system in Bader Hall, something that students and staff would all benefit from. As a PTA we have already committed £2,000 towards this project and so need your help to raise a further £6,000! Our first draw will be on Saturday 24th March!

Unlike most other lotteries, Your School Lottery lets you support our school directly. They believe in the principle of raising money through the community for the community.

Together we can make a difference

As a supporter, you can join for as little as £1 per week and for this, you will have the chance of winning a guaranteed weekly prize for someone within our school community. The more people that participate, the bigger this guaranteed prize becomes and the more money raised for our school.

On top of this, you will also be entered into a separate draw with a chance to win an amazing £25,000 EVERY WEEK! Your School Lottery are the first lottery organisation that provides both a guaranteed weekly prize AND a potentially life changing win.

Whilst our lottery will be just for our school and its community, the site hosts the lotteries of many schools and by managing all the lotteries centrally the system is more efficient. This gives them the scale which enables schools to provide much bigger prizes than we could do on our own whilst also generating as much profit for the school as possible.

Every Saturday, both of these draws will take place with results posted on the Your School Lottery website. Winners for both draws will be advised directly and will be paid automatically, so if you don’t have the time to check who’s won, they’ll let you know!

All you need is to be over 16 and have a bank account.

How do I play?

Joining your school’s lottery is easy just click here and follow the instructions. You’ll receive your tickets within minutes. Search for King Edward VI School, Lichfield when prompted to.

How does the draw work?

There are 2 chances for you to win every week.

When you start supporting, you get your own unique 6 digit ticket number. Each school will have its own weekly draw which only their supporters are entered into. This means you are guaranteed that someone from within your school community will win every week. The more numbers that are issued within your school community, the bigger the prize becomes. The size of the prize will be published on the Your School Lottery website on our school’s page in the lead up to each weekly draw.

On top of this, a separate weekly draw will take place where 6 numbers (each being 0 to 9), will be drawn at random. If your six digit number(s) matches the six numbers drawn in sequence, then you’ve won £25,000!

Why should I join?

Here are just some of several good reasons:

In contrast to the National lottery, who only pass on 28p in every pound, and the Health Lottery who pass on a miserly 20.2p to good causes, your school lottery is extremely proud to say they put both of them to shame by promising a minimum PTA contribution of 40%. That’s almost DOUBLE the Health Lottery and over 42% more pence in the pound than what the National Lottery do.

 You know (and you can see) that your money is going back into your community and our school will benefit from your contribution.

 You have a much better chance of winning than other lotteries. Unlike most other lotteries, this number will be unique to you and will be yours for as long as you participate. You can purchase more than one number if you wish.

 The more people that join, the bigger the prizes and the better off your school will be so please share with other family members such as grandparents!

Please see the following link for more information and to sign up! We have also attached a short leaflet about the lottery – please feel free to pass on to family and friends!

Remember our first draw is Saturday 24th March!

Good luck!
